Berghaus Tactical Munro II — What Modifications Can Be Made?

Berghaus Tactical Munro II — What Modifications Can Be Made?

The Berghaus Tactical Munro II IR Backpack is one of the most capable 35-litre patrol packs available to UK military and tactical users. Built tough, designed for hard use, and now available in MultiCam - it's a solid foundation. But with the right modifications from CH Tactical, it can be tailored precisely to how you operate.

About the Berghaus Tactical Munro II

The Munro II is built around a core of 1000D Cordura fabric a material renowned for its exceptional resistance to abrasion and tearing, making it well suited to demanding terrain and intensive operational use. The pack incorporates IR (Infrared) technology, preventing detection by residual light amplifiers and night vision devices, a critical feature for tactical environments.

Main Compartment & Organisation

The spacious 35-litre main compartment is secured with a snow collar and drawstring, protecting contents from moisture and dirt. A top flap with two sturdy buckles closes the compartment, with a flap pocket for quick-access to small accessories. Two front loops allow attachment of additional equipment, while side compression straps let you adjust the pack's volume to match your current load. Some really like this style of daysack, others prefer more organisation, somewhere to have your small admin bits etc if you wanted these adding just get in touch.

Carrying System

Stability comes from a U-shaped aluminium frame that maintains the pack's structure under load, however can be easily removed to pack down for ease of top flapping. Padded, adjustable shoulder straps and a hip belt with Berghaus's BergBuckle system (same as the issued virtus webbing belt buckle) provide carrying comfort. A transport handle on the rear makes it easy to lift and pass the pack in confined spaces or vehicles.

MOLLE/PALS Webbing

The front panel features a full MOLLE/PALS webbing system (Multicam version only), allowing you to attach additional pouches, pockets, and accessories, giving you the flexibility to configure the pack to your requirements.

About MultiCam

MultiCam is a multi-environment camouflage pattern developed in 2002 by Crye Precision in cooperation with the US Army Soldier Systems Center (Natick Labs). Comprising seven colours with gradient transitions between greens, browns, and beiges, it dynamically adapts to varied terrain — performing particularly well in Central and Eastern European environments, autumn conditions, and among dry vegetation. Officially adopted by the US Army in 2010 for operations in Afghanistan, MultiCam is now used by armed forces and special units worldwide, with the British forces adopting MTP (Multi Terrain Pattern).

Green is a very popular colour for that ‘ally’ look plus doesn’t look out of place while walking the hills when not in rig.
